Planning and design

The Modulink Planning and Design team provides you with the expertise and support you need to get your permit in hand as quickly as possible. It starts with defining the highest and best use for your land. This includes deciding:

  1. The type of multi-unit building;

  2. The total unit count; and

  3. The unit configuration (layout) for your building.

We also help you make decisions about your heating, cooling, electrical and plumbing needs. This includes completing technical assessments that will help you decide what makes the most sense for your property.

The Modulink team has the experts on staff that deliver innovative solutions to solve zoning challenges. In fact, our multi-unit models have been designed to avoid regulatory challenges so you get your permit sooner than regular construction methods.

CITY VILLAGE

The Planning and Design team is driven to deliver sustainable spaces and improve how homes, neighbourhoods and cities better meet the needs of people living in them. Our design work is shaped by the City Village concept where housing led by social sustainability can deliver communities of the future where diversity and aging in place are key pillars of these villages

We are a  progressive team that promotes the development of properties with social sustainability being a key feature of our design work. We address issues of affordability and inclusiveness through lot sizes, unit design, building techniques and financing models.

AFFORDABLE HOUSING

Modulink is committed to delivering high quality, affordable and environmentally sustainable housing to help tackle our housing crisis.

Our multi-unit apartment designs provide communities with an opportunity to address the shortage of affordable units while delivering spaces where people can live, work and thrive.

We are also developing a low-income housing rental approach that developers can participate in. The concept involves infill developers working with a partner such as a City, a church or community-housing organization to develop low-income rental units based on the bedroom count that they are demolishing.
